Description

Mr. Schelton Assoumou has over 20 years of investment banking, private equity, entrepreneurship, real estate development and investing.  Schelton holds an MBA in Entrepreneurship from Harvard Business School and bachelor degrees in both Business Administration and Economics from the State University of New York at Stony Brook. A wall street veteran, Mr Assoumou was an investment banker at JP Morgan where he amassed over 10 years of experience in investment coverage, structured finance, capital markets and leveraged finance and was responsible for the execution of over $25 billion of lead-managed ABS transactions and the origination, execution and marketing of over $9 billion of high yield bond offerings and leveraged loan syndications. For the last 12 years, he has been involved in the strategic planning, business development and operations of every facet of real estate industry such as acquisitions, valuation, construction, financing, property management and sales.  He has successfully navigated through challenging personal and enterprise turnaround and repositioning of over 120 distressed New York area assets totaling over $80 million in renovated value. More recently, through his own ventures ZOPA Consulting and Third Level Ventures, Schelton has been consulting with several small and middle market real estate ventures such as Brownstone NYC. Furthermore, he has been helping people who otherwise would have limited access to affordable housing. He has been working with several nonprofit organizations such as the Abyssinian Development Corporation in Harlem and Because Everyone Deserves Shelder, Inc (BEDS) which started out as transitional housing program in Brooklyn for men going from shelters to independent living to those recently released from prison.
